Susan Boyle Wild Horses NEW SINGLE first CD HD
This is the first single from her first album "I Dreamed a Dream", "Wild Horses" is a cover from the Rolling Stones sung beautifully by Susan Boyle who sang a live version of the song on American's Got Talent final. They laughed at her when she first stepped on stage on Britians Got Talent, till she started singing, then jaws dropped. Never judge a book by it's cover! I'll have to go back and see how other people performed this song. But I think Susan's singing is amazing!

Get off my butt and do something!
I was at Kaiser today checking in for a breathing test today (they want a comparison to one previous one.) I looked to my right and there was a man in a wheelchair, hooked up to a ventilator and a computer to communicate with. I don't know for sure what he had, I think it was ALS. I felt so guilty at that moment that my legs and arms work and his don't. It struck me how important it is for us as a society to try to find a cure. Then I wondered who was with him, his wife or daughter; and how do they cope with what each day brings. Then I thought about how much people do suffer in this life. But believers know that in Heaven we will have new perfect bodies, the old one will be gone. And that our suffering is nothing compared to what Jesus went through. I was reminded about how temporary this body is. I wanted to go over and say something, but couldn't think of the right words. There are some fund-raisers coming up, Les and I will participate in this ALS fundraiser

Hope and Faith
Wow ! What a beautiful spring day, well almost spring. It’s hard to stay indoors on a day like this. I walked to New Seasons and back today (about 5 mi total) Last fall when so much uncertainty swirled around, I thought by now that my walks would be done. Les refused to believe the diagnosis, now the Doctor says it’s not ALS, but some other Neurological disorder. I was and am ready for whatever, but I treasure days like today. And I marvel at simple things, like walking or using my arms and hands. The human body is such an amazing creation.
Love to all, Cathy

My Patient Husband
This morning post is about how patient Les is! After Church we went to Sweet Tomatoes with Denise & Warren. We got our food and found a booth (okay the booths are small and we have a lot of food) Les is seated, and in the process of putting my food down my hand bumps my Strawberry Lemonade, you know the rest of the story. Lemonade all over poor Les! He never got mad, he just started trying to wipe up the mess. I wish i could say I would have been so good, but I know better. It was all over him! I'm running around trying to find enough napkins to help clean him up. It must have been quite a show for the people around us. Then the four of us started laughing about the whole thing. I've learned that it's okay to laugh when I do something stupid. God Bless Les for being so patient with me all thru the years. The Lord found the right person for me, that's for sure.
Have a great day, Cathy
