Les and I know that there will come a point when I need someone here to help me when he's a work. I'm delaying that as long as possible! So far I've been able to be on my own, but as ALS effects my hands, arms and lastly my legs we are going to have to hire someone to help. I am not there yet, but Les and need to be prepared. I dread that process, how do you find someone you can trust. Plus the thought of a person here all day doesn't sit well with me. Well I'll have to adjust if we get there. I've adjusted to so many changes.
God will see us through this part of our journey as he is in control. It won't be long till Esster is here, Jesus paid the ultimate price for my sins and God loves us all.

Dad,
I can't lift my arms above my head, so dressing myself is harder, plus my hand and arms pulling pants up. It helps if I wear loose clothing. I'm going to ask dr. Stigler if physical and occupational therapy would help, maybe range of motion to keep what I have longer. I've read that other ALS patients have at least some benefit from it.

Cathy, I am sorry to hear hand and arms are getting tougher. Yes, like Alan said you are a huge inspiration to all of us. And like Greg said, you need to do what will help. Allowing others to help brings Christ into their lives. That's what we are all here for. I wish we lived closer. Don't be afraid to trust, God will bring someone to help to you.

Hope things are going ok. And spring is blossoming there. I had a sad morning -3 goldfinches flew into our window at once. Don't know why. I picked them all up but I don't think they made it. The good news is the mountain bluebirds are all back and checking out the birdhouses.
Glad it is Wed. tomorrow. It has been a long week already.

The birds hit our front window sometimes, too. Some make it and some don't. We have had a lot of humming birds feeding this year. Still cold and snow and rain. I can't wait for Spring weather! I have been getting help when les is home. Getting dressed the upper half is hard. I'm going to physical therapy soon to see if they have range of motion exercise to keep me limber as long as possible I can't raise my arms above my head

I'll try, I appreciate the prayers, and God hears them. It'll take time to recover from your by pass. Sleep is important, it's hard with the bi pap on, but I'll get used to it. Got Alan coming out on the 14th.

Some nights better than others. Les is going to get a new mattress for the adjustable bed he purchased used, I do better with the mask with my head elevated. Hope your bp is better. Alan's 50 this year? Hard to believe!
