Where's my Car?

Last night I took Ryan and Alicia too the last Blazer game of the year, since they lost. I parked the Car at Town Center transit center and Ryan and I rode the max. Alicia drove and met us there. After the game we jumped in her Car and she dropped us off at home. This morning I went out to our grage, NO CAR. I wondering "where's my Car" Then it hit me, it was down at the Town Center! I've forgotten many things in my life, but never the Car When I got down there it was safe and sound. Ryan didn't thnk of it, either! I guess I could balme it on those darn Blazers! Have a good weekend, Cathy.

Sunday stuff

Not much to report on me. We went to a wedding Saturday; Jonathan Cotton, Pastor Ray's son, married a lovely young gal, Camille. It was a beautiful wedding. Pastor Ray performed his Son's and Daughter's weddings. Jonathan  used to hang out here with Alicia and her friends. Today after Church we did some yard work and found out the Insurance company of the guy who hit Alicia wants to deny fixing her Car. He had Farmers ins. So now she has to fight with them. She's taking Anatomy & Phys.  So long  for now,
Cathy
Update: Alicia's ins company is going to take care of her car and go after the fellow who rearended her. So that was good news!

Bridge to Brews Walk/Run

well today was a first for Les and I, we walked the 8k(5 mi) route for Bridge to Brews, this year they were raising money for ALS, so I wanted to participate.  I just wanted to do something to be a part of the cure. It was cold when we arrived, but as soon as we started the Sun burned through and it was a beautiful morning. We crossed the Fremont Bridge and then came back over the Broadway Bridge. It's the only race where they close the Fremont Bridge. The view is very pretty from up there. Then back to Widmer Brewery for Veggie wraps and of course Widmer beer. I told Les we should do it again next year!
Blazers won tonight, showed a lot of heart. Rip City, baby!

Sunny Day

Well the Sun is shining this morning, we need that after the rain showers. That's what makes Oregon so green. Time to get ready to go to Wow, we're starting the book of 1 John. The gals at my table are trying to be as heplful as possible with my speech. Sometimes it still feels uncomfortable for me. But I don't want give up on it, I learn so much each week. Lunch at the Olive Garden afterwards. Better than Wendy's (where they usually go). Everyone soak in some warmth and have a good day :)

Alice you can here her, she was drowned out at Christmas! It's about how this is our temporary home and God has something else in mind for us one day. For believers it gives us a something to look forward to.

Happy Easter

Have a blessed Easter and thank you Jesus, I love you so much.He suffered, died and rose again. Death and Sin could not defeat him. Luke 24:5b, 6a
"Why are you looking among the dead for one who is alive? He is not here; he has been raised."
He is our Saviour.

Courage

Today’s Scripture: Luke 23:50
50-51There was a man named Joseph from Arimathea, a town in Judea. He was a good and honorable man, who was waiting for the coming of the Kingdom of God. Although he was a member of the Council, he had not agreed with their decision and action. 52He went into the presence of Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. 53Then he took the body down, wrapped it in a linen sheet, and placed it in a tomb which had been dug out of solid rock and which had never been used. 54It was Friday, and the Sabbath was about to begin. 55The women who had followed Jesus from Galilee went with Joseph and saw the tomb and how Jesus' body was placed in it. 56Then they went back home and prepared the spices and perfumes for the body. On the Sabbath they rested, as the Law commanded.
It must have took a lot of courage for Joseph to go and ask for Jesus's body, but Joseph loved the Lord and God gave him the courage to do what he knew was right.
Blessings, Cathy

Because You Love Me

Today is Good Friday, the a day when Christians commemorate the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. Crucifixion was a horrible way to die, the Romans and others used this method of execution. This is a clip from the movie "The Passion" someone put in Celine Dion's song "because you loved me" I was born and raised going to Church (thank you Dad and Mom) But really never knew how much God loves me till these last few years. It's a wonderful peace to know this. Have a blessed weekend and pray that Fred Hutch finds a good donor for my brother, Greg.
