It's been awhile

I know I don't post as often as I used to. The last few years have been the most difficult I have ever experienced. Each time I'd lose things I used to take for granted, talking, eating. Each time i'd try to adapt. I know this journey is all part of God's plan. For a long time I had full strength in my arms and handsome but that isn't the case anymore. I can't stand the thought of depending on another person to do things for me, but I'm lucky to have Les. I try to take it day by day as Jesus said not to worry about tomorrow. One saving grace is so far there's no physical pain. But being short of breath is scary. Along with the this disease there has been a wedding and improved relationships. I try to focus on the things i can enjoy, if I didn't I'd lose my mind! I just ask God to give me the strength I need to handle what's ahead.
Thanks to out of state family for coming to
see us, it was good to see you all!

Nice to see a new post Cathy. There are a few of us around that wish somehow we could take some of your load. Since we can't we would love to help you any way we can. It is reciprocal because your spirit and good heart give us clues about what is important in life. Don't be afraid to receive assistance. Love Alan

Cathy-what an amazing, honest, heartfelt, and eloquent post-beautiful writing. We wish we could share some of the this burden. I'm very sorry to hear your arms are having trouble. You and Les have been through so much. And you have been an inspiration for all of us. Like Alan said, it's okay to have people help you. It allows others to bring Christ into our lives. I'm so glad we got to see you, I'm sorry it was so short.
We keep you in our prayers and send strength, peace, and love.
Mary D.

Cathy,m,
How are you doing today? I hope you are holding steady. Glad Les enjoyed the steak-it was from a locally grown longhorn cow. She was ornery enough that she knocked parts of her longhorns off and Kelly, our office assistant, who did the finishing feed on her couldn't sell the horns--(they are usually worth lots of money.) I talked to our IT dept. and they said comcast won't accept my csc email, and that you should be able to tell comcast to accept my address? (That goes for John and Alice, too.) Not sure how all that works. Until then my emails will not get through to you.
Have you all recovered from the storm up there?! We got snow here all yesterday morning (4") and then the sun came out and it was beautiful!
Hope you are getting to see beautiful things.
sending lots of love and prayers,
Mary D.
p.s. the momma bear had her cubs yesterday--you can find the video on youtube under bear study. They cry just like human babies--it was amazing. The live cam in her den is at bear.org (Jewel's den)you might be able to see the cubs soon!

my dear cathy,
at last i have managed to find your blog site. what a wonderful writer you are. i am truly inspired by your bravery and faith and i know that you are being held in God's hands each moment of the day. it is so hard to understand why such terrible things happen to good people. i just know that God knows what is happening and He will give you His peace and grace to get you through all of this.

don't hesitate to let people help you; we want to help but there is so little that we can do. how i wish i could come over and see you but i am so far away. if there is something i can do from colorado let me know. what i can do is send a little card from time to time and i will do so. i pray for you and Greg each night and know that God hears us. so often we do not get the answers/results that we ask for, but we are heard. i am holding you in my arms and heart. peace to you and keep on trusting in our Lord. love, sharon and dan

Thanks Mary, and Dan and Sharon and everyone
You help already by your love and prayers! We are scattered all across the states, but that doesn't stop us from caring about one another. I too am praying that Greg gets back to remission.
Love, Cathy
